Specialist Series • 2022 - 2023
(Jr Specialist, Assistant, Associate or Full)

The Department of Radiological Sciences at University of California, Irvine is seeking a Specialist Series (Jr. Specialist, Assistant, Associate, full series) to support research efforts.

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual with an excellent medical imaging instrumentation research background. The candidate will assume responsibilities including: (1) Medical imaging device development; (2) deep learning algorithm for image reconstruction; (3) design, coordination and execution of research experiments; (4) Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; (5) preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant proposals and research-related regulatory documentation.

Junior Specialist requirement: Baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience
Assistant Specialist requirements: Masters Degree or 5 years experience
Associate Specialist requirements: Masters Degree or or five to ten years of experience
Full Specialist requirements: PhD or MD ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in photoacoustic/optoacoustic imaging.
