Position description

A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in the area of Chemical Biology in Prof. Weiss's lab in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will work on advancing the continuous flow biosynthesis project.

At minimum, the applicant should hold a PhD. in Biochemistry and/or Chemistry, or related field, and should have basic and working knowledge of enzyme biosynthesis and/or organic synthesis of nicotinamide enzyme cofactors. Multi-disciplinary experience with biosynthetic approaches to small molecule synthesis is preferred. Initial funding will be available for one year. Extension on the position is based on performance and funding availability. Salary is commensurate with experience.
