Position description

The University of California, Irvine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at the position of "Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. We especially welcome applicants with a interest in clinical research and/or preventive cardiology.
The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic, reading ECGs, interpreting echocardiograms, performing TEE and some responsibility with inpatient consultation/CCU service. Clinic responsibilities will mainly be at our outreach location(s) and inpatient work at our medical center campus. Other duties will include, teaching, training and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity.

Prior to the start of employment, an individual must have an MD or equivalent, be board certified or eligible in cardiology or equivalent, and hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of California. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications and experience. A generous package of retirement benefits is included when employed by the University of California.
