UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR POSITION ENERGETIC PARTICLE RESEARCH
Position description
The University of California, Irvine invites applicants for a postdoctoral scholar position in experimental plasma physics beginning in Fall 2022. The postdoctoral scholar will be stationed at the DIII-D tokamak in San Diego and will study instabilities driven by fast ions on multiple magnetic fusion facilities, with a mixture of hardware, experimental, and modeling responsibilities.
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in experimental plasma physics. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
