Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series or Clinical X series – Comprehensive Ophthalmology

The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking candidates for a full‐time faculty position as an Assistant, Associate or Full Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology –Surgical or Non-Surgical Comprehensive Ophthalmology. Candidates must be able to manage all general ophthalmic clinical diseases including acute and chronic care of ophthalmic patients. The appointment series, dependent upon the qualifications of the candidate, may be a member of the Academic Senate in the Professor of Clinical X Series or in a Non-Senate position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and residency training in ophthalmology. Candidates must also possess a background in research or scholarly activity with an interest in clinical or basic science research in ophthalmic disease. Duties will include clinical care of patients and sharing in the responsibility for didactic and clinical training of residents and medical students.
