Position description

The Department of Psychological Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a non-tenure track, 100% appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar. The initial one-year position can start as early as January 1, 2023 and may be renewed annually.

Candidates are sought to work on a study of cascading collective traumas (e.g., the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, war in Ukraine) and their aftermath. A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field is required. Prior work in disaster mental health is highly recommended. Previous experience managing large datasets is required. Expertise in multi-level and structural equation modeling, analyzing weighted data from complex longitudinal surveys of probability-based samples, obtaining and managing social media data (e.g., Twitter), and experience with STATA and R are strongly preferred.
