Position description
The UC Irvine School of Education has need for temporary, part-time lecturers in Winter and Spring to teach research methods, policy, and advanced writing courses in the Education Science undergraduate degree program. Courses are typically pre-scheduled for either 80 minutes on Tuesday/Thursdays or for 50 minutes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Classes will be held in person.
The current open positions are to teach EDUC 10: Research Methods in Education Sciences, 140: Courts, Classrooms and Controversies in Education Policy; and EDUC 179W: Advanced Writing in Education Sciences, and EDUC
Service Period Dates for 2022-23:
Winter Quarter: 1/4 – 3/24/2023 (Instruction begins on 1/9)
Spring Quarter: 3/29 – 1/16/2023 (Instruction begins on 4/3)
Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree, a record of successful teaching experience, and demonstrated expertise in the content of the course to be taught. Relevant experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in education or a field related to the course to be taught. Teaching at University level; experienced in digital learning technologies and using Canvas as a learning management system.
Salary:
Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $64,329.
