Position description

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking applications for a postdoctoral scholar (Level I – IV) in the following fields related to wireless communications:

  • reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
  • symbol-level precoding
  • physical layer security
  • dual function radar-communication systems
  • UAV/Drone-based communications
  • applications of machine learning to the above

The salary would be $64,480 - $77,327 per year based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. from an accredited university.

The initial appointment will be for a two-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or closely related field, from an accredited University is required.
