POSITION
3-Year Full-Time Post-Doctoral Researcher

DETAILS
Candidates should be interested in cutting-edge research in the field of pediatric behavioral health. The UCI Center on Stress & Health is a collaborative group from diverse areas in medicine and psychology and represents a unique opportunity to experience multi-disciplinary research to understand how psychology can have tremendous influence in the medical field. The primary objective of this fellowship opportunity is to provide mentoring in grant writing, manuscript preparation, and data analysis to prepare the individual for an academically oriented career in pediatric pain research.

The applicant will receive mentoring from Dr. Zeev Kain, MD, MBA, Distinguished Professor for UCI Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care and Director of the UCI Center on Stress & Health as well as Dr. Michelle Fortier, PhD, Associate Professor and PhD Program Director for the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing and Co-Director of the UCI Center on Stress & Health. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in research design and planning, practical implementation of research studies, data analysis, grant writing, manuscript preparation and dissemination of research findings through attendance of conference proceedings. Clinical opportunities may also be available. We are looking for a bright, motivated person who works well with other professionals from a variety of disciplines. Special consideration will be given to bilingual Spanish speaking applicants.

Start Date: The ideal candidate would start 8/1/2023.
