Position description
The UC Irvine Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (OVPTL) is looking for a Postdoctoral Scholar with experience in advancing access, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI) in STEM. The position requires applicants have experience in professional development workshop facilitation, expertise in qualitative and/or mixed methodologies, and effective communication skills to carry out the goals and objectives of The Institute for Meaningful Engagement (TIME). This position is under the direct supervision of Dr. Pheather R. Harris (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Dianne G. Delima (TIME Project Policy Analyst). This is a two-year position to fill as soon as possible, however can be negotiated.

This postdoctoral position is focused on research related to a National Science Foundation Hispanic-Serving Institutions grant to enhance inclusion in STEM for underrepresented minoritized students. The activity seeks to understand the experiences of minoritized students at an HSI, faculty conceptions of ADEI with respect to teaching and learning while advancing their understanding of their social and cultural locations, and the social and cultural locations of their students. The Postdoctoral Scholar will assist with the facilitation of ADEI faculty workshops, strengthening campus partnerships, research design (which includes the creation of survey instruments, data collection, and analysis), and other duties as assigned. The Postdoctoral Scholar will collaborate with UCI faculty, postdocs, and graduate students, primarily within STEM, Education, and Social Science disciplines.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in an Education, Social Science, or STEM Education discipline; experience in conducting research on teaching and learning; outstanding verbal and written communication skills; a successful record of publication and presentations; and the ability to work well with university faculty.
