The UC Irvine program provides a structured clinical opportunity to develop the advanced knowledge, skills, clinical judgment and attitudes essential to the practice of all aspects of aesthetic plastic surgery. The Bruce Connell Aesthetic Fellowship is a year-long fellowship, created from a generous endowment by Dr. Bruce Connell. Dr. Connell envisioned a fellowship that will encompass the entire breadth of aesthetic plastic surgery with the goal of developing skills for pre-operative planning, independently performing high complexity cases, and providing comprehensive postoperative care. This unique experience allows for fellows to receive training by previous fellows of Dr. Bruce Connell as well as other esteemed Faculty. The fellow will also gain experience in practice management and the business of aesthetic surgery. The clinical experience will also be supplemented by weekly educational conferences. These include Grand Round conferences, invited Visiting Professor presentations, didactic sessions, anatomy labs, journal clubs, research clubs, and quality improvement conferences. Offsite rotations in San Francisco and locations in Texas.
