POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR in Statistics and NSF-Simon Center at UC Irvine

The Department of Statistics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and NSF-Simon Center for Multiscale Cell Fate (CMCF) Research at UC Irvine has an opening for a non-tenured appointment in the Postdoctoral Scholar Series. Candidates with a compelling research portfolio in an area related to Statistics are preferred.

This Postdoctoral Scholar appointment requires a Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field, such as biostatistics, computer science, or mathematics. This position entails performing research in the area of cutting-edge statistical methods and theory in machine learning, data science and AI, and will be co-advised by Chancellor's Professor Annie Qu of Statistics and Distinguished Professor Qing Nie of Mathematics. Applicants must have a proven track record of research.

The duration of this appointment is for two years. The annual salary range is $66,737-$71,908, but is also contingent on knowledge and experience.
