Position description

Part-Time Lecturer: Korean Studies, Winter 2025

The Department of East Asian Studies at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for the position of part-time lecturer to teach one course in Winter 2025. Candidates may teach a course that ranges from premodern to contemporary Korean society, literature, intellectual history, and culture.

Winter quarter service period: 1/2/2025-3/21/2025
Winter quarter pay period: 1/1/2025-3/31/2025

The annual full-time teaching load is eight courses per year with a full-time annual salary of $68,247 ($8,530 per course). The total salary for this one-course appointment will be $8,530.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Korean Studies or related field by the time of appointment.
