Position description

The School of Education at the University of California, Irvine is excited to announce a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position focusing on reasoning, development, and AI within mathematics instructional technology design. The Postdoctoral scholar will have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team to conduct research that investigates the nature of children’s higher order thinking in mathematics, the capacity for a generative AI chatbot to support children’s mathematical higher order thinking, and best practices for effective design of an educational technology unit to improve proportional thinking and problem solving.
