All senate faculty also participate in regular meetings, recruitment and auditions, and other forms of department and university service.

● Demonstrated record of serving inclusive excellence in teaching, mentoring and performance in alignment with UCI’s ranking as a top-tier public research university serving first generation students and as a Hispanic Serving Institution, Minority Serving Institution and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution

● Doctoral degree in orchestral conducting or a related field
● Significant prior teaching experience at the university level as a symphony conductor, including proven success recruiting and mentoring both music and non-music majors
