Chief of Sports Medicine
Position description
Seeks board eligible/certified orthopaedic faculty member with specialization in sports medicine orthopaedic surgery. Salary and academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. This will be a senate position in the Clinical X Series. The appropriate applicant must hold an MD degree and must be eligible for a California Licensure.
Applicant must have an established record of national prominence and leadership. The successful candidate would be expected to develop a world-class sports medicine program along with the University of California, Irvine Athletics program.
The successful candidate would be expected to take part in teaching orthopedic surgery residents and medical students as well as develop a nationally regarded fellowship and a dedicated research program in his/her chosen research area.
The qualified applicant must be able to cover trauma and other related orthopaedic problems. Applicants must have strong experience in teaching, patient care, and research. All qualified candidates, including women and minority candidates, are encouraged to apply at:
