Position description
Applications are being sought for the Project Scientist Series from degreed candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds, publications, & specialized training for anticipated openings between July 1, 2014 & June 30, 2015 in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California, Irvine. Initial appointments are for one year & renewal is based on available support. Current faculty & research interests are:
P. Carpenter: Oncogenes and metastasis-associated genes in breast and ovarian cancer
J. Chan: Liver development/function, oxidative stress response, and cancer
L. de la Maza: Chlamydia trachomatis; immunopathology and vaccine development
R. Edwards: G-protein signaling in mucosal immunity
M. Jadus: Targeting brain cancer with M-CSF
D. Mercola: Promoter binding and activation profiles of cancer
E. Monuki: Brain development
E. Peterson: Chlamydia trachomatis; immunopathology and pathogenicity
