Position description

The Department of Neurology, University of California, Irvine is recruiting for an Assistant, Associate ,or Full Professor in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series., The successful candidate will be an outstanding ,fellowship- trained Neurologist in the field of Geriatric or Cognitive Neurology to take a leadership role in clinical care and clinical trials in Memory Disorders. The candidate will join an active clinical and research program that has world renown for basic scientific research in Alzheimer's Disease and clinical research in aging and dementia. UC Irvine is home to an NIH funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and to large-scale NIH funded longitudinal study of the "oldest old". The Memory Disorders program serves the ~3 million people in Orange County as well as other parts of California and the U.S. The candidate is expected to develop a robust clinical practice with significant activity in clinical trials. Involvement in medical student education and our residency training program is also expected.

Requirements - Applications are being sought from candidates with M.D. and/or Ph.D. eligible for licensure in the State of California by the time of employment. Positions are dependent upon funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
