FACULTY POSITION IN ELECTRON MICROSCOPY

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE

The Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the Francisco J Ayala School of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure -track Assistant Professorship position in structural biology with an emphasis in cryo-electron microscopy. Qualified candidates at a more senior level also will be considered. Applicants should hold a Ph.D., or M.D. or equivalent degree, and will be expected to establish a vigorous and internationally competitive research program, and teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. UCI has made a major commitment to the establishment of a state-of-the-art electron microscopy facility and the successful candidate will be expected to play a significant role in leading the development of structural biology in the new facility.
