Position description

Postdoctoral positions are available at the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of California, Irvine, to study stem cell fate/functions, stem cell/cancer interactions, immunomodulation, and drug delivery towards more effective and safer stem cell-based and immune-based therapies. This position is in the lab of Dr. Weian Zhao (http://faculty.sites.uci.edu/zhaolab/), located in the Stem Cell Center, which is a state-of-the-art facility. Successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary and collaborative team working with bioengineers, material scientists, and chemists to develop next generation tools to address unmet challenges in stem cell therapy and cancer diagnosis and treatment. Successful candidates will enjoy both cutting-edge research and beautiful southern California.

This position is full-time and includes benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements - Highly motivated candidate with a recent Ph.D. (or equivalent) in biology (or related field) with experiences in stem cell biology and engineering, cancer biology, immunology, brain and neurological diseases, synthetic biology, cell homing/trafficking and metastasis, cancer stem cell, sequencing and bioinformatics, or clinical experiences.
