Position description

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time faculty member for a leadership role in the Division of Transplantation. This position will be in the (Clinical-X) Series or (Health Sciences) Series at the Associate, or Full Professor Level.

The successful candidate must possess leadership skills as well as exceptional skills in kidney and pancreas transplantation with demonstrated expertise in clinical practice, teaching and research. Candidates will have a background in clinical and/or laboratory research, a demonstrated track record in scholarly activity, and a strong publication record. Highly desirable are experience providing patient care in an academic setting; working with residents, and medical students; and performing University and public service. Candidates must possess MD, or MD/PhD degree(s), be board certified in general surgery or urology, and have completed an ASTS certified fellowship or equivalent in transplantation. A California medical license is required.

Salary will be commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience.
