The Political Science Department at the University of California, Irvine seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in the International Political Economy subfield of International Relations beginning July 1, 2017. Salary is commensurate with academic qualifications and experience. Applicants are required to focus centrally on IPE (rather than Comparative Political Economy) in their research record, publications, teaching, and scholarly training. IPE themes include the role of international economic institutions, international implications of trans-border movements, global impact of economic inequality, transnational dimensions of global food production, international effects of sanctions, and other topics that transcend the internal politics of states to explain international outcomes. Applicants with a variety of methodological approaches will be considered.
