Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine anticipates an opening for non-tenured, academic term appointment at the Assistant or Associate Level in the Adjunct Professor series in the Division of Family Planning.

Responsibilities will include developing multidisciplinary research collaboration combining pre-existing internal resources within the other divisions of the department, as well as external resources in other departments; medical student and resident supervision and teaching; provide University and public service; and demonstrate professional competence.

Requirements - Candidate must possess a PhD with a demonstrated career focus on abortion and reproductive health research. Experience with developing a multidisciplinary research collaboration combining pre-existing internal resources within the other divisions of the department, as well as external resources in other departments including Biostatistics and Public Health is desired.

This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on the availability of support.
