Lecturer - Part-time (BME 223)
Position description
The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time lecturer for the Fall quarter 2016 to teach an upper division course, BME 223: Critical Thinking in Cardiovascular Research. Curriculum area includes instruction in reading and assessing cardiovascular literature, the basic science of cardiovascular research, clinical cardiovascular research, and engineering tools for cardiovascular research.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering. Previous cardiovascular research experience is desired, but not required. Prior college-level teaching experience is desired, but not required. Should be competent to teach a broad spectrum of cardiovascular topics and lead discussion with graduate level students, all of whom are actively performing cardiovascular-related research.
Salary approximately $5,563 for quarter (three months - October through December).
