SPINE FELLOWSHIP

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking two energetic and creative academic board eligible/certified Health Sciences Clinical Instructor for fellowship training in Spine Surgery. This position would have a 100% appointment at the Clinical Instructor rank in the non-Senate, non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. The successful candidates must hold an MD or MD/Ph.D. degree(s) and be eligible for California Medical Licensure and have a desire to develop expertise and specialty training experience that includes spine deformity, trauma, degenerative diseases and reconstruction. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidates will be expected to teach medical students and residents, cover various orthopaedic problems, perform university and public service, and demonstrate professional and clinical competence. We deliver clinical services at the UCI Medical Center in Orange and The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in Costa Mesa. The successful candidates should have strong interest in research, teaching and patient care.
