The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE). The LPSOE series is a University of California-wide faculty series with equivalent rights and responsibilities as the more traditional tenure-track faculty series, but with a stronger emphasis on teaching and scholarly activity related to education than on traditional disciplinary research activities.
Candidates should be outstanding career instructors, with strong dedication to undergraduate education and the continuous curricular development and innovation. Engagement in education-related service, accreditation endeavors, application of educational grants for undergraduates, and the development and assessment of new educational initiatives is expected.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering or a related area, should provide evidence of effective and innovative undergraduate teaching in biomedical engineering, and scholarly activity outside the classroom that has led to advances in biomedical engineering education. Salary is commensurate with experience.
