Position description

Openings are anticipated throughout the year in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine for non-tenured, academic term appointments as Postdoctoral Scholar. Position involves research investigation in the areas of radiopharmaceutical development, pharmacology and PET imaging. Research in this laboratory focuses on developing PET imaging agents and methods for the study of brain disorders, neurochemistry, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Applicants with a broad background in chemistry, radiopharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, biological sciences, biomedical engineering, medical physics who hold a doctorate degree and who possess a strong motivation to pursue academic research are encouraged to apply. Training or working experience related to the above topics are preferred. Also the ability to communicate in English both verbally and in written format is important. Irvine is located in beautiful, sunny Southern California and is considered the safest city in the in the US. It is a delightful place to live and work.
