Position description

University of California, Irvine. As part of an interdisciplinary cluster of hires in sociology, education, and cognitive science, the UCI Sociology Department announces recruitment for two tenure-track positions at the assistant or early associate professor level. We welcome applicants in all sub-fields whose work will contribute to the cluster’s aim to create opportunity for children living in poverty through education.

The review process will begin September 15, 2016, but screening will continue until the position is filled. Completed applications containing a cover letter; curriculum vitae; statement that addresses past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion; statement on how the applicant would contribute to the cluster; three letters of recommendation; and up to three writing samples should be uploaded electronically at https://recruit.ap.uci.edu/apply/JPF03613. Applicants should have or expect to complete their Ph.D. by July 1, 2017.
