The University of California, Irvine, Department of Dance part-time lecturer pool in Ballet, which may include pointe, partnering, and repertory. The successful candidate may be required to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, dance majors and/or non-majors. The successful candidate is required to have an M.F.A. or equivalent level of professional experience enabling them to teach advanced levels of dance techniques within UCI's program.
Basic qualifications: M.F.A./M.A. in dance, or professional experience in the field. Teaching experience required (may include; college, university, private studio, or other professional teaching).
Preferred qualifications: M.F.A. in dance, more than one year of university level teaching experience, professional dance experience.

Full time annual rate of $53,402.00. Actual appointment will be at 5%-33% percent time depending on the number of classes taught per week, at a quarterly rate of $890 to $5,874 for one or more quarters in the 2017-2018 academic year, contingent upon available funding and instructional need.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Claire Trevor School of the Arts, Department of Dance at the University of California, Irvine enrolls 150 undergraduate dance majors and 20 graduate students in B.A., B.F.A., and M.F.A. degrees in Dance. The department, with 15 full-time and several part-time faculty, has been recognized as one of the nation’s outstanding dance programs. UCI alumni have danced with professional dance companies, in film and television, on Broadway, in national tours, and are employed as university dance faculty nationwide and internationally. The department’s facilities include six dance studios, a motion capture studio, and a Dancer Wellness/ Pilates Suite. Students perform in three theatres (including an Experimental Media Performance Lab) and participate in collaborative telematic projects.
