The Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine through the Department of Medicine at UC Irvine seeks a Naturopathic Doctor for the clinician–educator track series to serve as director of its Naturopathic Residency Program and Medical Director for Naturopathic Medicine. The position will be offered in the Health Sciences Clinical Series at the Assistant Professor level. Level and salary are commensurate with background and experience.
DUTIES: Developing the Naturopathic Residency program's curriculum, overseeing the selection and training of new residents, monthly teaching conferences, didactic teaching and clinical supervising, patient care, health education, and research. Collaborate with integrative physicians as necessary, and participate in the center’s activities and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS: A doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from an accredited school, with demonstrated excellence in teaching; having an active California State Naturopathic Physician license (or be eligible to obtain a license); and five years' experience in clinical practice and teaching, including relevant experience in higher education and curriculum development. The preferred candidate will have didactic and clinical teaching experience, clinical supervisory experience, and experience in growing a clinical practice. The preferred candidate will also have demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
PRACTICE INFORMATION: The Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic, caring clinician to join an interdisciplinary outpatient practice at our clinic site in Costa Mesa, CA. The academic clinician will work with Center’s Integrative Medicine physicians, Osteopathic Physicians, Naturopathic Doctors, Acupuncturists, Message Therapists and Nutritionists. Our goal is to provide superb holistic integrative health care in a patient centered environment.
