Position description

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORINA, IRVINE, The Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science at UC Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured appointment at the rank of Assistant to mid-Associate Professor. AOS/AOC: open, but with a strong preference for a scholar in Mathematical Logic and/or one who can make substantial contributions to our recently launched MA program in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, with an emphasis on formal approaches (e.g., game theory, decision theory, probability, or social choice). Ph.D. required or expected before start of employment. All applicants are asked to provide a cover letter, teaching statement, and a full curriculum vita. In addition, junior applicants are strongly encouraged to include a writing sample and at least 3 letters of recommendation (senior applicants may simply provide a list of potential references).
