The University of California, Irvine School of Law invites applications for tenured and tenure-track faculty positions with an emphasis in tax law beginning October 23, 2017.

In its first ranking, the U.S. News & World Report ranked UCI Law 30th in the nation - the highest debut ranking by any new law school in U.S. News history. By 2017, UCI Law had advanced to no. 28 overall. Core features of UCI Law have also attracted national attention. Both the clinical traning and intellectual property programs are ranked by the 2017 U.S. News & World Report in the top 20, at no. 15 and no. 17, respectively. UCI Law also ranks in the top 14 for student diversity and is tied with Yale at no. 3 for the best student/faculty ratio.
