Postdoctoral Scholar Positions in Microphysiological Systems
(“Body-on-a-Chip)
Two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available to work on the development of body-on-chip devices: 1) Pancreatic islet chip model to study primarily Type 1 diabetes; 2) Liver model for studying hepatic vascular malformations. For both positions the ideal candidate will have experience in cell culture, vascular biology, bioengineering (including COMSOL modeling), and microfluidic systems. Prior knowledge of the specific organ systems would be an advantage. However, candidates with any combination of these should consider applying.
Initial appointment is for one year with an anticipated extension to 2 years pending satisfactory performance, and salary will be commensurate with experience.
