Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences
Department of Computer Science
Analysis for Large-Scale Systems Group (AnalySys)
Postdoctoral Scholar Position (s)

UCI's Analysis for Large-Scale Systems Group (AnalySys), led by Prof. Harry Xu, have been at the forefront of research in programming languages, distributed systems, and big data analytics. Our research has had significant impact and led papers that have perennially appeared in top systems and programming language conferences such as SOPS, OSDI, ASPLOS, and PLDI.

We anticipate that two full-time Post-doctoral Scholar positions will become available soon and are looking for capable candidates to join our team. Appointments will be initially for a one year period and will be renewable. These positions require a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and demonstrated expertise, at the highest level, in the area of compiler construction, runtime/distributed systems, memory management, or big data analytics. The ideal candidate would already have publications in top system or programming language conferences.

Current graduate students who fulfill all other requirements but who have not quite yet completed their Ph.Ds. are welcome to apply; however, any offer will be made contingent on successful completion of the degree.

Salary to be between $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualification. Candidates without experience in either compilers or systems are NOT encouraged to apply.
The expected starting date for the positions is June 1st, 2018. However, for candidates who still need to defend their Ph.D. degrees, we will gladly accommodate their graduation schedule.
