The UCI Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is looking for a postdoctoral scholar, salary range from $48,216 to $54,228 per year (based on experience and qualifications), in the area of Control for Smart Electric Grids and Renewable Integration.
A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a closely related field, from an accredited university is required. Applicants should have expertise in at least one or preferably all of the following areas:
i. Control systems
ii. Smart electric grids
iii. Renewable integration
The successful candidates will report to Professor Pramod P. Khargonekar and work jointly with a number of EECS faculty in their respective areas. The candidates will be expected to conduct research, publish papers, and coordinate a number of activities involving proposal generation and presentation of research results on various media, including the web.
The initial appointment will be for 12 months and salary depends on the applicant’s qualifications.
