Position description

The GPS-BIOMED (Graduate Professional Success in the Biomedical Sciences) Program invites applications for part-time position of Academic Coordinator. Under the direction of the Program Director, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing transcripts of interviews with program participants. Specifically, this involves coding interviews according to a rubric provided by a collaborating institution, and helping to write a manuscript describing the findings.

Requirements include either an MS or a PhD in a research discipline of biomedical science; experience with program evaluation and interview coding; demonstrated skill and success in both oral and written communications with a broad array of constituents in person, through e-mail, formal letters, and via telephone in a concise, accurate and professional manner; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, communicate effectively, identify problems and develop solutions with supervisors, administrators, students, faculty and the community; ability to meet deadlines, ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction; fluency in using business software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook); demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and security of records and documents. Familiarity with the GPS-BIOMED program preferred.
