2020 Abdominal Imaging Fellowship
Position description
We are currently accepting applications for a fellowship position in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California Irvine Medical Center for the academic year 2020-2021. A one-year, cross-sectional, Abdominal Imaging fellowship is offered in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California Irvine, with an emphasis on cross-sectional abdominal imaging and coordinated experience in CT, Ultrasound, MRI and image guided procedures. Fellowships are at the Health Sciences Clinical Instructor level, based at UC Irvine Medical Center, and will have the benefits and privileges through the University of California, Irvine.
Our mission, within the Department, and in a broader context as a University of California School of Medicine campus, is to provide an excellent educational experience, so as to produce highly trained fellows who will go on to become leaders in their field. We provide an optimal combination of volume, experience with sequencing/protocoling, academic time, and research time, to produce very knowledgeable, well-rounded abdominal imagers with an innovative approach to abdominal Imaging. The fellow will also participate in CT and Ultrasound guided procedures, and vascular ultrasound. Participation in the department's on-going research projects and publication is expected.
Successful applicants will be Health Sciences Clinical Instructors in the School of Medicine, and will actively participate in the teaching of UC Irvine residents and medical students, as well as participate in several interdisciplinary conferences.
There will be six faculty members supervising the fellowship.
