Position description

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology is seeking a dynamic leader with strong credentials in clinical medicine and basic, translational or clinical research for the position of Rheumatology Division Chief. Requirements include academic stature, accomplished clinical skills, leadership and management skills to build and expand all aspects of Rheumatology Medicine at UCI, while advancing the research and educational activities of the program. This is a tenure/tenure-track, senate faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Academic credentials including NIH or other federal grants and prior record of high impact publications are preferred.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver patient care in an academic setting, teach medical students, residents, and fellows, engage in an independent and extramurally –funded clinical research program, and provide service to the University. Rank and salary will be commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience.
