Professor and Chief, Occupational and Environmental Medicine Division
Position description
The UC Irvine Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, is seeking an occupational medicine physician with strong clinical, teaching, and leadership skills to be appointed as Associate Professor or Professor and Chief of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) Division.
The candidate must have MD,or PhD and be board certified in occupational medicine and eligible for licensure in the State of California.
The Division has a well- established occupational medicine residency program affiliated with the Southern California ERC, an AOEC-affiliated occupational and environmental medicine consulting clinic, and research programs in toxicology and epidemiology. The Division is seeking a faculty member to provide leadership for the Division, particularly in growing the clinical and other consulting activities, while contributing to the research and teaching activities of the program. The candidate must be board certified in occupational medicine and eligible for licensure in the State of California. The ideal candidate would have prior leadership experience and an established record of excellence in OEM clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly work that would qualify for appointment as Associate Professor or Professor , with tenure. Faculty in the Professor of Line (tenure) series are members of the Academic Senate.
