Position description

The Department of Global & International Studies is establishing a pool of qualified applicants as Lecturers to teach courses in our undergraduate program. The Department engages critical interdisciplinary scholarship from across the social sciences and humanities. The ideal candidate will be able to teach on issues such as global apartheid, global inequalities, global sexualities, global indigeneity, global health, global social movements as well as courses in regional studies (Middle East and Africa). These positions will be available during the 2019-20 academic year. See department website at: www.globalstudies.uci.edu

Requirements - We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to the quality of our undergraduate program. Candidates must have a Ph.D.

Qualifications - Ph.D. in global studies, history, sociology, anthropology, english, political science, ethnic studies, cultural studies, feminist studies and related disciplines.

This part-time positions are based on an annual salary range beginning at $56,381 and the number of courses could vary.

Service Period Dates for 2019-2020 Academic Year:
Fall Quarter: 9/23/19 – 12/13/19
Winter Quarter: 1/2/20 - 3/20/20
Spring Quarter: 3/25/20 – 6/12/20
