Specialist (Assistant/Associate/Full) for Research in Young Adult Cancer Survivorship Research

The Department of Epidemiology at the University of California-Irvine seeks an Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist for young adult cancer survivorship research.

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated individual who has excellent organization, time management and communication skills, and understands regulatory requirements for cancer-related research. Primary activities will include management of the Project Milestones Study: a population-based (Cancer Registry-based) cohort of young adult cancer survivors. This person will work closely with the principal investigator to:

-Lead recruitment and tracking efforts (primarily mail and phone-based outreach)
-Assist with regulatory requirements (e.g., State and local IRB submissions/amendments)
-Manage and organize (and/or contribute towards) weekly team meetings and other administrative tasks

This position is offered at a 20-50% time appointment.

Requirements: 1) Bachelor degree (emphasis in public health, biostatistics, behavioral science, or related areas preferred); 2) Ability for quick learning, and excellent communication skills; 3) Solid organizational skills, including time-management; and, 4) Strong teamwork skills. Experience with database management (e.g., REDCap) or bilingual in Spanish language is preferred, but not required.
