Applications for the Postdoctoral Scholars are being sought from doctoral candidates (PhD, MD, or foreign equivalent) with strong laboratory research backgrounds & specialized training for anticipated openings between July 1, 2022 & June 30, 2023 in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California, Irvine. Initial appointments are for one year & renewal is based on available support. Current faculty & research interests are:
J. Chan: Liver development/function, oxidative stress response, and cancer
L. de la Maza: Chlamydia trachomatis; immunopathology and vaccine development
R. Edwards: G-protein signaling in mucosal immunity
D. Mercola: Promoter binding and activation profiles of cancer
E. Monuki: Brain development
E. Head: Brain Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease
A. La Spada: Mechanisms of Neurodegenerative Disease / Neurotherapeutics
M. Rose: Neuronal Diversity, Omics, and Imaging in Brain Development and Disease
H. Park: Breast cancer, epigenetics, environmental exposures, and biomarkers
F. Rahmatpanah: Prostate cancer disparities, Ovarian cancer, Epigenetics, Human endogenous retroviruses in cancer
H. Mkhikian: Glycoimmunology in health, autoimmunity, and immune senescence; glycoproteomics and cross linking mass spectrometry
