Assistant/Associate Professor of Global Health

The Department of Population Health and Disease Prevention in the School of Public and Population Health at the University of California, Irvine is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The Program is interested in candidates with diverse research interests, including infectious disease epidemiology, vector biology, parasitology, disease modeling, global change and population health, implementation sciences and translational research. We would especially encourage applicants with innovative new perspectives and research interests that embrace interdisciplinary approaches.

Candidate Qualifications:
Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain extramurally funded research program, participate in departmental teaching and mentoring missions for undergraduate, MPH and PhD students, and provide professional service to the program, the university, and the community.

All applicants must have a doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, DrPH, DVM or MD), as well as postdoctoral research experience, and a strong record of research accomplishments and publications.

If the candidate does not include the signed authorization to release information with the application materials, the application will be considered incomplete. As with any incomplete application, the application will not receive further consideration. Although all applicants for faculty recruitments must complete the entire application, only finalists (i.e., those to whom the department or other hiring unit would like to extend a formal offer) considered for Ladder Rank Professor or Professor of Teaching series, at all ranks (i.e., assistant, associate, and full) positions will be subject to institutional reference checks.
