POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR in Statistics
The Department of Statistics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at UC Irvine has an opening for a non-tenured appointment in the Postdoctoral Scholar Series. Candidates with a compelling research portfolio in an area related to Statistics are preferred.
This Postdoctoral Scholar appointment requires a Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field, such as biostatistics, computer science, or mathematics. This position entails performing research in the area of statistical machine learning with applications to neuroscience problems, and will be co-advised by Professors Babak Shahbaba, Annie Qu, and Norbert Fortin. Applicants must have a proven track record of research.

In the Postdoctoral series, the total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions. The duration of this appointment is for two years initially and may be extended depending on previous postdoc service and availability of support. The annual salary range is $66,737-$71,908, but is also contingent on knowledge and experience.
