Position description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is accepting applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery to provide outstanding clinical and surgical care to our diverse patient population. The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is a dedicated team of 3 board-certified FPMRS educators, we are proud of our nationally recognized three-year integrated fellowship with Kaiser Permanente of Orange County. To promote our research mission, the division provides faculty with departmental statistical support, a director of research, clinical research coordinators, seed funding, and a regulatory coordinator. There are ample opportunities to collaborate with basic and translational scientists across multiple disciplines and departments.
Responsibilities will include private patient practice, medical student, resident, and fellow supervision and teaching, as well as research productivity and other general faculty duties. Qualified applicants will have a desire to fulfill our fourfold mission to discover, teach, heal, and serve.
Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD, a California Medical License (at the time of start date), be American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology eligible or certified, and successful completion of subspecialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery with subsequent Specialty Board candidacy or certification. Applicants should have excellent clinical skills, medical knowledge, interest in teaching, and scholarly accomplishments. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
