Position overview

Salary range: The salary range for the Assistant Professor/In Residence position is $82,200-$107,700. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series – Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes/may include membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The salary range for the Associate Professor/In Residence position is $102,500-$129,300. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series – Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes/may include membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The salary range for the Full Professor/In Residence position is $120,200-$218,500. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes/may include membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine is anticipating openings for physicians in its various divisions. Titles in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series are faculty who make substantial contributions to the University through excellence in teaching, clinical expertise, scholarly or creative achievement, and engagement in service.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Requirements include: M.D. or Ph.D. and/or equivalent license appropriate to the position(s). Board Certification or Eligibility within specialty is also required. Interest in teaching is essential. The applicant must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching.
