Position description

The UC Irvine School of Education has need for temporary, part-time lecturers in Winter and Spring to teach research methods, policy, and advanced writing courses in the Education Science undergraduate degree program. Courses are typically pre-scheduled for either 80 minutes on Tuesday/Thursdays or for 50 minutes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Classes will be held in person.

Service Period Dates for 2023-24:

Fall Quarter: 9/25-12/15/2023 (Instruction begins on 9/28)
Winter Quarter: 1/3 – 3/22/2024 (Instruction begins on 1/8)
Spring Quarter: 3/27 – 6/14/2024 (Instruction begins on 4/1)

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree, a record of successful teaching experience, and demonstrated expertise in the content of the course to be taught. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in education or a field related to the course to be taught. Teaching at University level; experienced in digital learning technologies and using Canvas as a learning management system.

Salary:

Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $66,259.
