Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ranging from $229,779-$256,764. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

The University of California Irvine Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a physician-scientist with a clinical translational/or basic science research expertise to join our expanding department as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Step will be determined based on training and experience. Applicants should be board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R and be eligible to apply for a California medical license.

The successful candidate will have completed residency training in PM&R. A strong commitment to an academic research career and building clinical translational/basic science research program in support of the institutional and departmental research goals are desired. Faculty are expected to actively participate in the overall mission of the department, which includes providing excellent patient care, teaching of residents/fellows and students, performing university and public service, and demonstrating professional competency and scholarly activity.
