Position description

Specialist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.

These positions are sponsored by and dependent on available funding from faculty members in Cognitive Sciences and span all research areas in the department. For a listing of current faculty and their research interests, please see: http://www.cogsci.uci.edu/people/faculty.php.

Degree Requirements:

  • Junior Specialist: Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree, at minimum, by date of employment.
  • Assistant Specialist and Associate Specialist: Applicants must possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree by date of employment.
  • Specialist: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree by date of employment.

All applicants must have applicable training in one or more of the department’s disciplines. Prior publication history is desirable. Salary and rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Positions may be full or part time depending on available funding and needs.
