Position description
The Qavi laboratory at UCI is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar which requires a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD or foreign equivalent) with strong academic laboratory research backgrounds.
The Qavi lab is interested in developing the next generation of diagnostics for a variety of pathogens and diseases. Relevant skills include clean room fabrication, material characterization, glass processing, circuit design, embedded systems, wearable devices, signal processing, and data analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in optics and device fabrication. Will give preference (not a requirement) to those who have demonstrated high productivity during their doctoral studies with first author publications in well-respected journals. Experience with clean room fabrication, circuit design, signal processing, and data analysis will be given preference. The successful candidate (preferred at time of application) will also demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to mentoring others as well as being mentored.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$77,327. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoc Scholar Scale
